Why is IPT the best?

1. High-Quality Translation at Low Prices

2. Translations by professional and experienced native speakers of a language

New translation software packages have transformed the world of international communication. However, even the most expensive and sophisticated package cannot match the standard produced by people translating from another language into their mother tongue.

A recent survey of business related translation packages shows that the best package that the reviewers could find still made some basic grammatical errors. They found that synonyms were misunderstood and that idiomatic language produced total garbage in the translated version. Another difficulty from which the software suffered was the capitalisation of words. Cultures treat this in various ways. Probably the most difficult aspect of the resultant translation was confusion over tenses. The findings of the review were that this “Best of type” package still fell short of an acceptable standard for effective business communication. They said that if this standard were used in any kind of sales orientated way, the result would probably have a negative effect on the potential customer.

The second-best package the reviewers could find produced more than 10% inaccuracies for all translations. In the opinion of the reviewers, this would cause negative effects in business communications. This would not be good in a non-sales letter and would be useless for any type of formal agreement.

These results should not be too surprising. Let’s face it, few humans are fluent in more than one language, so what chance does a computer stand? Only a native speaker of a language fully understands the flow, syntax, and idiomatic nuances of their language and culture. Only a person speaking the language from childhood will fully understand the implications of particular combinations of words or phrases. In addition, there isn’t a programme near completion that can understand any kind of humour.

We use a three-step approach to translation. We work only with fully qualified, experienced, and professional interpreters. A person whose mother tongue is the target language performs the translations. It is then reviewed to ensure a high standard of word flow and continuity. Stage three is when the resultant work is proofed by another native speaker. Only then is it presented to our client.

We pride ourselves on the standard of our work. We would not even contemplate using any form of software package because they simply cannot come close to what is acceptable to our clients or us.
